In April, the Stow-Munroe Falls High School Student Council will provide a free chore service for senior adults in our area. This service is available to residents 60 years old or older who live in the Stow-Munroe Falls School District.
Working in groups of 3-4, student volunteers accompanied by an adult supervisor will do assorted outdoor chores for seniors. Common tasks might include cleaning flower beds and garages, moving patio furniture, and general tidying up. The program is limited to one hour of work at each home; seniors receiving assistance will be asked to provide any needed cleaning supplies.
Clean up dates are scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 14, 2011. Enrollment is limited and pre-registration is required. The registration deadline is April 7, 2011, or until all available time slots are filled.
If you are a senior who would benefit from this assistance, contact the Stow Parks and Recreation Department, 5070 Stow Road, or call 330-689-5100.
Sponsored by the Stow-Munroe Falls School district and the Stow Senior Citizen Commission.
